Planning Information

The Planning Information Program is responsible for facilitating the delivery of the economic, social and physical data to planners, researchers, and individuals with information requirements for planning and policy making purposes.

Pursuant to U.S. Public Law 108-188, the Planning Information Program prepares an annual assessment on the costs incurred by the Government of Guam as a result of increased demands placed on educational and social services by immigrants from the Freely Associated States under the Compacts of Free Association. The Program serves as Guam’s liaison to the U.S. Census Bureau, and manages the Guam State Data Center in support of Census data dissemination under the State Data Center Program. The Planning Information Program also administers the Interjurisdictional Fisheries Act (IFA) grant program to support and complement the Western Pacific Fisheries Information Network (WPacFIN) program in the collection, data entry, and reporting activities of large scale fisheries on Guam.
